NEW Vote by Mail Ballot Drop Boxes Available for Peoria County Residents
The Peoria County Election Commission has installed an Official Ballot Drop Box outside of the Election Commission Office, located at 4422 Brandywine Drive in Peoria. The Ballot Drop Box is being provided as an option for all Peoria County residents to use to submit their completed Vote by Mail Ballots.
The Drop Box is securely bolted to the ground and is guarded with round-the-clock surveillance. The large drop box located outside of the Election Commission will be available 24/7 for residents to submit their Vote by Mail ballots through 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
In addition to the large Drop Box outside of the Election Commission Office, smaller Drop Boxes will also be available for County residents to submit their Vote by Mail Ballots at Early Voting locations.
Ballot Verification Process
Ballots submitted to any of the Vote by Mail Ballot Drop Boxes will be validated through a signature verification process. This process will be completed by a panel of trained, bipartisan Election Judges. The same verification process is used for in-person voting at all Polling Places.
Please note that Peoria County's Ballot Drop Boxes can only be utilized by Peoria County residents. Voters residing in other counties should check with their local Election Commission for more information.
