[ARCHIVED] Permanent Vote by Mail Applications Being Mailed and Emailed from the Election Commission

The Peoria County Election Commission will be mailing Permanent Vote by Mail applications to all registered voters not already signed up for the program on August 22, 2022. This is a statutory requirement by the State of Illinois.

Voters may receive a postcard or email application, depending on the information the Commission has on file. Residents may have received a vote by mail application from the Voter Participation Center, a non-profit organization.

“We don’t think this mailer from the Voter Participation Center meets the requirements for a permanent vote by mail application, and therefore we are asking all voters interested in the program to complete the postcard application from the Peoria County Election Commission,” stated Elizabeth Gannon, Assistant Director of the Peoria County Election Commission.

Voters interested in the program are encouraged to return their application as soon as possible to allow for processing time. Vote by mail ballots will begin being mailed out on September 29, 2022. Those not interested in the permanent vote by mail program may simply disregard the application.
